Annual Religious Parade Held in Chachoengsao

         

          Thailand, 31 Oct. - Thousands of people gathered on the streets in Chachoengsao making merit when the annual parade passed their community.

          The religious rite presided by the provincial governor, Suwit Kamdi, happened at 7.30 local time (0.30 GMT) at Sothornwararamworawiharn Temple along with government officials.

          At 8.00 (1.00 GMT), the governor walked to the parade with the supreme monk of the temple to start marching.

          The parade moved through communities in the province: Nawat,  Namuang, Bobua, Banmai, and Watdonthong.
       
          Over 500 students participated in the parade which was divided into 3 sections. There were students from Watsothornwararamworawiharn School, Benchamaracharungsarit School, and Daddaruni School.
