Suspect of Forest Encroachment Appears at #saveบางกลอย Protest Site

     Bangkok, Thailand (Mar. 16) - Leader of Progressive Movement, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit - a suspect of illegal forest encroachment, has appeared on the stage of #saveบางกลอย movement Monday, blaming the related laws as outdated.

        He said that the ethnic citizens had settled inside the forest before the forest related laws were implemented. He added that the govt. hasn't realized the value of people and the laws are outdated.

        He believed that men living in forest might make it sustainable.

        "Some experience extortion, making people here to form the protest which is the protest of people affected with unfairness." he said on the stage.

        Thanathorn and his family members are facing charges of over 2000 rai (790 acres) forest encroachment in Ratchaburi. 

        Meanwhile, people in social media have a posted video and a picture of the watershed forest encroachment, showing at least 11 deforested areas.
