Three killed in Strasbourg shooting rampage

Strasbourg, France, 12 Dec. - A man on the country's security watch list has open fire at the the famous Christmas market on Tuesday before leaving the scene, the Interior Minister, Christophe Castaner, said.
The suspect later identified as a 29 year-old Strasbourg-born man, Cherif Chekatt, was known to the intelligent services as a high potential security risk. the motive of this incident, however, was unknown.
The minister added the gunman exchanged gunfire with security forces while he was trying to leave the scene.
The city's mayor, Roland Ries, said in his tweet that he ordered all cultural events, shows and Christmas markets to close from now.
The carnage slayed three lives and injured twelve others. One of the killed is a 49 year-old Thai who just arrived in Europe a day earlier with his wife who now refuses to give further details.
