Mar, 5, 14 - The state of emergency in Thailand might be extended as the caretaker government concerns there will be more violent movements as long as anti government demonstrations continue.

Surapong Tovichakchaikul, the Foreign Affairs Minister, and the chief adviser of the Center for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO), said that the emergency decree in the capital city of Bangkok could be extended until anti-government protests are over, adding that the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) made a decision to carry on its movements  to topple the Yingluck's administration and more violence would likely occur. He also elaborated that the decree would have to be effective until the situation improved.

The state of emergency has been effective for months. However, its expired date is on March 22.
