Bangkok, Thailand (Feb. 17) - The Criminal Court has put the request on the back shelf to release the four protest leaders, being detained at Bangkok Remand Prison, on bail on Wednesday.
Kritsadang Nutcharas, the lawyer of the defendants, proposed the third try in order to win bail for Anon Nampa, Parit Chiwarak, Somyot Prueksakasemsuk and Patiwat Saraiyaem with a 3 lakh baht surety for each of them.

In addition to the refusal, 48 jurists posted a statement on Facebook, alluding International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. They called for the judges to be unprejudiced in the case, virtuously perform under the framework of the law, and protect the right and freedom of people.
The Criminal Court today, too, summoned 18 additional Ratsadorn leaders to undergo the verdict hearing. The court, however, adjourned the judicial process until Mar. 8. The leaders were also charged with the allegations of violating section 112, 116, 215 of Thailand's Penalty Code.
