Resident at Koa-Ngam, Phuket Forced to Sign Eviction Agreement by Moving Forward Party MP

     Bangkok, Thailand (Feb., 8) - Anantachai Longnawa, a resident at Koa-Ngam, Phuket, escorted by Sira Jenjaka - the Head of Law, Justice and Human Right Commission - has voiced his suppression on the unfair eviction, practiced by - a representative, Rangsiman Roam of Moving Forward Party - at a news conference.

     He elaborated that Rangsiman Roam had for
ced him and his kin to sign the eviction agreement and abandon the land within 2 months before 2 of his kids were detained by forest rangers for interrogation. 

     He has already filed the complaint at the commission since October 2020.

     Chaiyan Polsuwan, the spokeperson to the commission and Puethai MP, insisted that the commission obtained the complaint in October 2020, claiming the accused MP used extortion through forest rangers aiming to utilized the conflict land. 

      Mr. Polsuwan elaborated that the commission has validated and found the evidence of his presence. He also said the kids had been being detained for 8 hours at the Forest Ranger Office without food supply before the release. 

      On the other hand, the accused MP refuted the allegation and exonerated that the capture was just for the attitude adjustment. Some information is applied from Posttoday.
