11 Flights Canceled due to Hazardous Condition since Feb.

        Mae Hong Son, Thailand (Mar. 19) - Mae Hong Son Airport has canceled 2 Nok Air flights Friday - DD 8214 and DD 8215 from Bangkok - because of poor vision.

        The cancelations have affected the airline hard as travel agencies hesitated to book flight due to unpredictable hazard, making the agencies to pay back their clients the already booked travel packages.

        Since Feb., 11 flights to Mae Hong Son have been canceled.

        The Center of Facilitation for Wild Fire Control disclosed the number of hotspots in the province, showing that there have been 192 hotspots in 7 districts: 6 in Pai, 49 in Pangmapa, 42 in Muang, 17 in Khunyuam, 22 in Mae Lanoi, 46 in Mae Sarieng and 13 in Sopmoey. The center added that the hotspots in the districts of Pangmapa, Mae Sarieng and Muang are significantly proliferating.
