The activity was laying a wreath to express condolences to the justice system after the court had rejected the request to free Panusaya Sithijirawattanakul, Panupong Jadnok, and Jatupat Boonpattararaksa on bail. The members of the group and other participants laid the wreath, banquettes of flowers and signs written with profanity.
Inside the court's compound, security forces were on duty to ensure safety. Police Colonel Prasopchok Ieampinit, the superintendent to Paholyothin Police Station announced that the assembly is unlawful, violates jurisdiction required by law, and violates emergency decree, making frustration on the protesters.
Benja Apan, the assembly-led leader said the activity would end at 6 pm local time.
"This is not the first time that Rung (Panusaya Sithijirawattanakul) is behind bars. Parit Chiwarak has been in confinement for nearly a month. We have suffered. We will set our friend free. The movement must continue. Putting them in prison is not fair. Before this, we had been together. Putting all leaders behind bars won't end the movement." she said.
The detainees made the offences that violate Section 112 and 116 on Sep. 19. Some information is applied form ManagerOnline.
