Revenue Department to Intensively Audit Mobs' Leaders' Income: Former Intelligence Agency Director

        Bangkok, Thailand (Mar. 15) - Nunthiwat Samat - a former intelligence agency director - has posted on his Facebook page, saying banks are required by regulations to inform the Revenue Department in the case of over 4000 transactions a year.

        Assessable income is income of the following categories including any amount of tax paid by the payer of income or by any other person on behalf of a taxpayer. (8) Income from business, commerce, agriculture, industry, transport or any other activity in not specified in (1)-(7). The amount of tax under paragraph 1, which is paid for by the payer of income or by any other person on behalf of taxpayer on any category of income or in whichever tax year, shall be treated as income of the same category and of the same tax year as the income where payment of tax is made, according to Thai Code of Revenue.

        He added that inner conflicts among leaders and account holders are results of having millions in mobs' leaders' bank accounts as rumors have been being revealed.

        He reminded that a fundraiser, asking for monetary support for Red-Shirt demonstrations, was faced retroactive tax collection, ruled as a bankrupt and he voiced his frustration that he was left behind. Some information is applied from Thaipost.
