Building Collapse Slays at least 5 Lives in Bangkok

        Bangkok, Thailand (Apr. 3) - At least five people have been killed in a building collapse as fire sweep through the building in the capital.

        Police of Thammasala Police Station were informed the fire raging a building situated at Krisadanakorn Village in Thawi Wattana , Bangkok. Fire engines were deployed from Bangkok's Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Bureau soon after the information.


        Fire fighters and volunteers had been rescuing eight people struck inside before they managed to extinguish the fire and take seven lives out of danger. Unfortunately, a person found dead in the lavatory. Fire fighter had spend over an hour to control the fire.

        Bangkok governor, Assawin Khwanmuang, arrived at the scene at 10.00 am to lay down guideline to  rescued those buried under the rubble as the building collapsed and trapped a number of volunteers soon after the fire was extinguished.

        The police are now collecting the evidences to identify the cause of the fire.

        The latest report from Manager Online shows that 5 people have lost their lives and over 20 fire fighters and volunteers are believed to be trapped under the rubbles.
