Public Health Minister Urges People to Comply with Covid Protocols
Bangkok, Thailand (Apr. 6) - A deputy spokesperson to the Prime Minister's Office has said Tuesday that Mr. Anuthin Charnveerakul, public health minister, urged people to strictly comply with Covid-19 protocols after there had been reports of Covid clusters at night life venues in Wattana, Klong Toey and Bang Kae of Bangkok.
She added that the ministry has been accelerating to dispatch the vaccine. Additionally, he believed that the pathogen can be contained. For corona virus in Thailand, 250 were confirmed Tuesday to be infected with the pathogen, rising the caseload in the kingdom at 29,571. 155 of Tuesday's conformed cases were found from proactive Covid-19 testing, 90 of them were from Covid Prevention System and 5 were from overseas.
Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) issued an order to close196 entertainment venues in Wattana, Klong Toey and Bang Kae of Bangkok so that the proactive screening in the area should be initiated.
The closure of the entertainment venues came shortly after there had been reports of the number of people stricken with Covid-19 from the venues in the areas.
Furthermore, the Department of Disease Control has call for people who partied at 7 pubs - Ekamai Beer House, Crystal Thonglor 25, Pahol Café and Bar, Bla Bla Bar Thonglor, Dollar Bangkok The Cassette Music Bar Ekkamai and Pub Dirty - in March to have Covid-19 testing.
