Hundreds Defy Covid-19 Measures in Sakon Nakon

          Sakon Nakon, Thailand (Apr. 15) -  Hundreds of people have gathered at Supatchaiyaram Temple in Sakon Nakon province to celebrate Songkran Festival Wednesday, splashing water to participants and drinking alcohol beverages. 

          @RedSkullxxx posted pictures on Twitter, showing hundreds of people are celebrating and walking at the temple without any Covid-19 prevention measures.

          The user also asked for discipline to comply with the state Covid-19 precautionary measures, adding an opinion that daily confirmed cases of the pathogen to the country could reach 10,000 a day.

          The provincial governor Monsit Paisanthanawat instantly altered officials to file a lawsuit against those who arrange the activity - assembling hundreds of participants.

          The activity holder justified that the activity has passed authorization process. 

          The governor refuted that all activities accumulating large number of people during the rise of coronavirus cases following the latest provincial order.
