200 Million Covid-19 Vaccine Shots Administered by China
Beijing, China (Apr. 21) – China has administered over 200 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine shots produced domestically, according to health authorities Wednesday.

Mi Feng, spokesman for China’s National Health Commission, said that the country reached milestone of 200 million doses of Covid vaccine administration at the press conference.
The official neither revealed the proportion of vaccine recipients both partially vaccinated and fully vaccinated nor the number of people who have received the vaccine. China said it planed that 560 million out of 1.4 billion people will have been inoculated by mid June.
Mi said COVID-19 cases globally increased for the eighth straight weeks. 5.26 million cases were reported around the world last week.
“It is necessary to increase the speed of vaccination while strengthening the block of foreign inflows,” Mi said.
Chinese vaccines Sinovac and Sinopharm require at least two doses to boost immune stystem.
