Heavy Downpour Causes Inundation in Korat


          Korat,Thailand (Oct. 9) - The active low pressure, swirling in the Gulf of Thailand, have brought heavy rain in the province, leaving over 500 houses in Pakchong, Korat in the deluge on Friday.

          Heavy downpour resulted in flash flooding in four villages, located beside public cannals. 

          Official from local administration offices helped villagers and thier belongings to flee to higher grounds. 

          Korat's provincial governor quickly observed flooding situation at the entrance of Khoa Yai National Reservation, experiencing landslide, road damages and the demolition of over 20 electric poles, expeting 3-day-long fixing.

          Officials were orderd to infrom people residing along the cannals and Lantakong Reservior to be on alert.

          The active weather system have continucaused severe thunder storm and heavy rain since Wednesday.
