           คำศัพท์วันนี้เสนอคำว่า degust (v) แปลว่า ลิ้มรสอย่างพิถีพิถัน การคำนี้เป็นคำกริยา จะต้องมีกรรมตามหลังเสมอ คำว่า degust มาจากภาษาละติน degustare ในช่วงต้นศตวรรษที่ 17 ซึ่งเป็นการรวมกันสองคำคือ de- ‘completely’ + gustare ‘to taste’
