More People to Attend Coming Protest, Emphasizing Three Key Demands: Anon Nampa
Bangkok, Thailand (Oct. 8) - The leaders of People's Party led by Panasaya Sithijirawattanakul, Anon Nampa, Panupong Jadnok, Tattep Ruangprapaikitseree, Jatupat Boonpattararaksa, and Chonticha Jaengrew have made a news conference Thursday at the area of Royal Funeral Field over the progress on the coming demonstration on Oct. 14, insisting three cardinal demands.
The demands consits of PM's resignation, tangible reform on the monarchy, and coming to order of parlimentary special session to certify people's draft consitiution.
Mr. Nampa said that the constitutional monument snatched by the government would be reclaimed and the barricade installled nearby must be dismantled. He added that the duration of the demonstration haven't been set, boasting that a number of people on October 14 will surpass those attending the previous event.
Mr. Nampa believed that the coming movement could put the pressure on the govenment to comply with the demands, adding that the peaceful protest could be surly seen and the party had readiness to negotiate wtih the government.
There will be a royal procession on that day. It will not be hampered by the movement. Mr. Nampa showed his confidence that the maturity of the demostrators could create a peaceful stand off.
I would not call for the amendment on section 1-24 of the consitution if people shows their perspectives via referendum process, he said.
Other leaders congruously said that the demonstration on Oct. 14 would be a stage to display people's democratic power.
