Thai Forces Stricken with Covid-19 from South Sudan


          Bangkok, Thailand (Oct. 8) - The Royal Thai Army announced Wednesday that 31 soldiers who returned from South Sudan, infected with Covid-19 after the peacekeeping mission there had completed.

          The Deputy Spoken to the Thai Army, Col. Sirichan Ngathong, said that the military personnel went to the central African country, South Sudan, for a peacekeeping mission. 180 soldiers returned to the country, 37 out of them stricken with the contagious disease. Those infected are now in the recovery process at Phramongkutklao Hospital while 149 officers are risiding at the managed isolation facility.

          Another group of 76 soldiers, who will take a flight to Thailand, have to ungergo the virus screening process both at taking off and landing areas.
